My friend sent her laptop off for a battery replacement. There was a recorded message that told her they might erase her hard drive and to do a backup of data. She did. Thank god for that, because they wiped it. For a battery replacement.

So now she has to track down a million drivers and other crap to reinstall her system.

I hate idiot techs.

just got my first written complaint about my work from a client today. not going to go into the details, still fuming over it, but I will say that this whole fiasco emphasizes a very true and rather humorous point:

nothing pisses off a lawyer quite like being without his blackberry.
