I'm having a day of fail and I'm not even at work. I knew I shouldn't have installed more RAM.

Specifically, Grub error 22 on a supposedly dual-boot but actually 'Doze machine that I use mostly for feeding my City of Heroes addiction. Cue a bunch of recursive plans as more and more things don't work. Cue those plans failing. I'm now sat in front of a fresh 'Doze install with neither of my SATA disks showing up and 87 things pending installation from Windows Update. And yeah, I'm posting from my macbook.

I started fixing this damn machine at eleven this evening. It's now half past four and counting.

It's all my own fault. My only hope is that pulling an all-nighter to fix my foul mess is the only LART I've got coming my way.

Who am I kidding? I'm fucked.

Do not argue with me when I tell you that as a tech for $company[0], I cannot help you with syncing a PDA made by $company[1] with a mail app from $company[2] just because you happen to be running the apps for both on my platform. Also, do not slightly rephrase the question and ask it again just to see if you can sneak by my initial response to the first question on the SAME DAMN PROBLEM.

Especially if you were calling about a problem printing to a printer made by $company[3] which you can only see on the wired LAN and not through $company[4]'s wireless router, and when I tell you (from the symptoms you gave me) that it's a routing table problem and you need to call $company[4] to update your ancient firmware on the thing and check for corrupted routing table data, you argue with me on THAT, too.

Things like this make me want to hand you over to Smackdown Dispatch for an extremely painful LART.

That is all.
