The procedure for resetting a managed system back to factory defaults includes disconnecting the system from the power. I.e., unplug it.
Engineer: I'll disconnect the power cables from the power supplies, pull the power supply assembly out, and flip the dip switches on the system planar board.
Customer: No, you need to disconnect the power from the wall outlet.
Engineer: Well, I need to disconnect the cables from the power supplies so that I can remove the assembly.
Customer: No, you need to unplug them from the wall!
Me: o.O
The customer is either being anal-retentive, or is totally ignorant of how ELECTRICITY works. It doesn't matter which end of the electron hose you disconnect.
