SHARING THINGS I DONT WANT TO

I have been faced with a problem that I just can't figure out. The C: (root) got changed from protected to shared. I don't want to share my C: with the other pc's once we get them networked. I am thinking I will have to dffr the pc and start all over. I don't want to do this but I have exhausted all of the other suggestions. Sys Restore did not fix it, You can't chage it back by going through properties. If you have any tips I welcome them. I am having a case of "Error This Brain Will Now Shut Down".
