When I send out an e-mail saying

"Your faxed in system request forms are completely unreadable. This form is in Word format so if you open it on your PC you should be able to type the information in. This will ensure that it's readable once faxed" (Yes we're not advanced enough for online forms and the big company hasn't converted our stuff to it yet)

Please don't respond with

"Hi, do you want me to resend both forms typed?"

On a sidenote, I find it hysterical the people who would print these forms out on their PC blank and then put them into an IBM Selectric Typewriter in order to type the forms out. They for some reason felt better doing it that way.

NetworkSolutions is pissing me off. Bigtime. I am trying to transfer my domain to another registrar (godaddy.com) because they are cheaper and better. Thanks to the new ICANN policies on transfers being automatically approved unless a domain is locked, NetSol tried to do everyone a "favor" by auto-locking their domains. Well, that's fine - except that their "unlock domain" doesn't really work. It's been just shy of 24 hours since I unlocked, and I still can't transfer - godaddy returns results as "domain under registrar lock". Bulllllpucky!

NetSol sent me an email saying that if I'm going to transfer the domain, I need to call one of their "transfer specialists" for assistance. I haven't called yet because I haven't had time. Probably tonight. My initial read on this is: "we don't want to give up your $35/yr domain registration and lose it to someone who provides the same service for one fifth the price, so we'll make it so hard to transfer that you'll give up."

I don't need any bleedin' assistance! Just let me transfer the damn thing!

I've just filled out their support request form. I wonder how they intend to respond...

Dear Luser,

I realize you want to do the open enrollment for your health insurance. However, the powers that be bought a crappy bit of software that the operations group hates and we're being required to run it, and it likes to try and eat the as400. When you call because it's down and I tell you they're rebooting and to wait 10 minutes, please remember this is NOT Microsoft Time we are talking about. It is real time. Calling me back three minutes later to complain again doesn't help, because I'm going to tell you the same thing.

Thank you.
