This is the the kind of ticket I need first thing Monday morning:
"Requester reports a phantom paper jam is haunting the Konica. Requests exorcist."

. . . my first thought was in the sense of a .44 preventing further jams once and for all. Not because I don't know the show, it's just that doing it that way seems far more satisfying.

I'd laugh, but I've performed an exorcism upon a VAX that had a ghost process "haunting" it...

Weird thing is, it worked...

Yep, there's some freaky stuff out there...

I watch my boss do a 'lay on hands' for a Juniper M40 that we thought we'd have to send back- nuthin else we tried could get it to be stable and run properly for us.

to everyone's complete and utter amazement, it worked beautifully, and went on to go into production. To this day, we *still* don't know how or why that worked.

This is an awesome request.

I think we stopped just short of trying this on an old Whale Communications box... decided a sledgehammer date a la Office Space was more appropriate.

I think an exorcist is the best way to deal with those stupid printers. I worked at a place that had one. It would randomly decide to turn on/off features partway through large print jobs. It was always awesome to print 1000 pages of a manual and have to manually hole punch about 100 of the pages.
