The entire ticket:
Dr XXXXX states his computer is acting like it wants to crash

So, is it acting depressed? Wearing black and acting listless? Playing really sad MP3s? Only displaying in Black and white? Is it running Windows 95?

Is it running Windows 95?

The real sign is if it's running Windows ME; then you know it's already too far gone to be saved. XD

Alternatively: "GO AHEAD OPEN THAT EXCEL SPREADSHEET, I DARE YOU! I'LL CRASH, I'M TELLING YOU, I'LL DO IT, I'M CRAAAAAAAZY!"

WinME... the exact thing I was thinking. A mercy killing, really.

Yeah, a Win95 machine is the old codger on the porch. Might still be cheerful and grandfatherly, if a bit prone to senior moments.

A Win ME machine is in need of a good reformat/lobotomy.

I had a machine running Windows ME...never had any issues with it. It ended up with XP Pro on it (yay for a free OS), but my parents were running ME for years with no issues.

Maybe it's a bad driver.. get it.. wants to crash, like a car.. and then you have hardware drivers..

it's been a long week

You keep going on like that, I'll tell T to call you stead'a me next time . . . currently I'm trying to walk her through an OS install on the phone after a Trojan munged her HDD. And of course, she can't find the Win XP Pro CD, just the XP Home and Vista Business CDs that belonged to a different computer she doesn't have any more.
