When you call in for support because you can't follow basic directions and I make the mistake of honestly answering that I am in Arizona when you ask what state I'm in, it's not okay to suddenly launch into a 10 minute lecture on why I'm a racist because I live here and how "Arizonans hate my people."

Especially when your name is Italian.

This call could have taken 3 minutes, you made it take twenty. Thank God it's Friday...

I have no idea but it's annoying as hell, and more and more frequent lately.

I live in WV. We are generally remembered in one of two ways. If the person is outside the state (or the surrounding states) but inside the US, they'll go, "Oh, I used to live in/have a friend in/once drove through/etc. Roanoke/insert western VA city here." If they're outside the US, they'll go, "Oh! Country Roads! I love John Denver!"

So yeah...

Yeah, before the whole immigration mess I used to get "Oh, I *loved* Tombstone!" a lot.

I'm in Connecticut.

I get the whole "You must be a Red Sox/Patriots fan."

For the record, I'm a fan of BOTH New York baseball teams, and BOTH New York football teams, as well as the Redskins, who my uncle played for.

Why would I be a fan of teams that are almost 200 miles from me, when I have teams that are only about 50-60 miles from me? (I live in SW CT, about 50 miles from Ground Zero.)

i havent had it happen to me but foul language is an automatic disconnect in my book. If anyone insulted me over the phone I state that and hang up. You can check to see if your company has a policy like that and that might make your life easier from the idiots that populate this country.
