When your IT guy says "Don't do it", he means it. When you make him tell you not to do something 3 times, you have to expect him to do something about it.

When you piss him off, you get a copy of the "Acceptable Use Guidelines" with a cc of the message sent to your boss.

This. This. A bazillion times this.

Once, we had someone try to dispute our claims that they were not following acceptable use. They had no proof, we did. A picture may be worth a million words but a screenshot of what you were doing against policy can be worth eons of silence from the offender. Of course, we presented printed out copies of the screenshots in person to their manager.

I would think, if you're not smart enough to hide your porn, you're probably not smart enough to work for the company. I doubt that's the stated logic, but odds are it's the case.
