Was going through our helpdesk's inbox and came across an email discussion between a remote system monitor and the head of our nontechnical information assurance:

Sysmon: Our chief retired and his cpu is password protected upon boot. How do I undo this?

F'n Idiot: Take the mother board out and put it back in. This should take care of it. Of course if you know what the password is, that could be fixed a lot easier. Just go into the bio and unprotected the system.

Sysmon: pull the mother board out put it back.... used the password the individual said he used... it did not work

Hm? Removing the motherboard and putting it back didn't fix it? You don't say...
At this point the system monitor decided to forward the email to the tech support Helpdesk.

Being in Tech Support you should heart Macs. They are slightly easier to support than a PC unless a "typical Mac user" calls... then you're screwed.
