WARNING! THESE LINKS LEAD TO PICTURES TAKEN OF A COMPUTER SO VILE IT MADE ME SCREAM LIKE A GIRL AND JUMP BACK FIVE PACES WHEN THE CASE WAS OPENED. IT MADE THE MALE TECH SCREAM LIKE A GIRL AND JUMP BACK FIVE PACES WHEN THE CASE WAS OPENED. THE FAINT OF HEART OR WEAK OF STOMACH SHOULD COME NAE FURTHER. I MEAN IT.

This shit came tumbling off the power supply when the case was first opened.

This remained stuck on the power supply. Yes, it's a little out of focus. I wasn't getting any damn closer to it.

I think you'll have to charge extra to the person who sent it in... make them buy everybody surgical masks and the "hosing down" fee. There's always "working conditions" laws.

I made that icon from screencaps of the Bender-Shouldn't-Be-On-TV ep. It's pretty easy to do, if you have all the right tools.

Heh, if you don't want me to use it its cool. Bought the Futurerama season 1-3 and it was a freaking hilarious episode.

Actually, I don't mind if you use it. Just wanted you to be aware that it's not a found icon.

call an exterminator immeadiately. One of our repair centers had a woman bring in a roach infested PC. And they had to bomb the store twice. Don't let it get out of controll. That customer was not allowed to ever bring in her PC again, even though she had a 3 year service contract. I actually saw the ticket in a line. Bug bombed the PC. There actually is a service charge now for insect infestation in our service enter software now. Rumor has it that the roaches like the heat in the PC.

Could be worse...

I've seen mice inside computers before. Got in through a missing PCI slot cover and chewed up ribbon cables and front-panel wiring... the owners only noticed once the power button wire got chewed through. Not only were there live mice, there were dead ones. Skeletal dead mummified mice that'd been sitting inside the tower.

When I gave them their machine back, the conversation went something like this:
"So... duh, what was wrong with it?"
"Mouse infestation. You wil note that I had to replace..."
"Yeah, we guessed there was something dead in there."
"... You guessed this?"
"Yeah, there were a bunch of maggots crawling out of it last week..."
"... And you didn't see anything wrong with this?"
"Well, it still worked..."
I resisted the urge to double their bill on the spot. I did however add a couple hours to the labor charge, just for the shower I suddenly felt the need to run home and take. Also, I told them to "... Please never bring your computer back to us again."

Holy Shit!!! X__x;;;;;

Imagine the home where the PC was located! Did you see the owner of the PC? Were they as scummy as the box they gave you to fix? *shudders*

This is the kind of shit that can definately keep you up at night, afraid to shut your eyes...

EWWWWW!!

I'm terrified of cockroaches, I probably would have had a heart attack and dropped dead on the spot. Then I would have had my estate sue the filthy sow for wrongful death.

I DON'T want to know what was stuck on the power supply. After those pictures 'nuke from orbit' has an entirely different meaning.

For the record all I find inside my machine when I clean it out are the normal dust bunnies and cat hair--with 4 cats that's to be expected. But how in God's name do ppl let their machines get so damn bad?

*is not going to look at the pictures for fear of losing sanity at midnight*

Judging by other peoples comments, it sounds as bad as it looks. The worst I've ever seen (ie, attempted to fix) was an XT that was salvaged from a trailer that my relatives had been renting out, this machine was full of mouse droppings, the mice had got INTO the computer through the power supply, the switch was completely missing.

It was disgusting and I what I wound up doing was pieceing together another XT and salvaged the ISA cards from that one to give back one working one and had the disgusting one sent to the landfill.

Like, what condition was the chasis in?

That has got to be the most disgusting thing I've *EVER* seen. One roach is bad enough, but *shiver*. Okay, I'm gonna end this comment before I totally freak myself out!
