Ticket was created with Issue Type "%ISSUE%" however the notes indicate that the ticket was created because the customer could not get online and the modem could not be accessed because the sales rep set it up on the roof.

Puh-leeze. You haven't lived until you've seen WISP tickets involving trees. As in, antennas mounted on live ones.

Oh god I have the best story ever from that gig.

Guy called in, wanted to know what SatMex5 stood for.

I told him "Satellite Mexico 5"

He then informed me he wanted someone to repoint him to 'A GOD DAMN AMERICAN SATELLITE"

Instead of pointing out that it was still a boeing bird, I just sent him a tech and charged him the repoint fee.

I also hoped he would be pointed to SM6.

WOW... just wow...

I used to work for Winstar (which went out of business) that did point to multi-point to get around tree's and stuff like that but well..ya know money stuff.

Anyways with U-Verse where I worked prior to this they would install modems anywhere and wonder why they couldn't get wireless signal in the house when it's installed behind a boiler, heater, ya name it..

Granted on a roof? wtf?

"What do you mean, my WAP won't get a signal out if I put it in a metal cabinet?"

"OK, is it OK if I set it on top of my metal filing cabinet?"

There are entirely too many people on earth who see nothing wrong with any of the above scenarios ..
