Found this site [supportdetails.com] today on StumbleUpon. Looks like a vaguely interesting tool for those lusers who cannot tell the difference between OS X and XP. Of course, it does require an internet connection, a working browser, and scripts enabled, but it could prove useful. Even has fields to send the details to an email address.

its kinda lame and uninformitive

is there a site that can tell me specifics such as ram, cpu, # of things that don't have drivers installed, which service pack, wether they have firefox and which antivirus and if its up to date?

That's what I've always used... but it _is_ a download, and sometimes user rights get in the way. But all our callers are admins on their computers anyway, right?

that actually is pretty cool, good enough for my silly customers who sometimes cant locate shit even when i tell them EXACTLY where to look (as long as their interwebz are working lol)
