Dear customer/users
writing your password and user name on the cable of your computer is probably not the most secure way to go about things.

Hey, that's better than the post it note attached to the monitor.

If this was someone else's computer, and you were able to walk up and echo something as root, then yes, it is a security fail.

True, but you have to admit it is a rather creative way to be not-secure. I never would have thought of writing directly on the cable.... a cable that may or may not be swapped out at any time for any reason. Even if it's permanently attached to the wall, there's no guarantee that it's stay attached to the same terminal from day to day.

Nah.. I'd rather stick to my pile of glue-less post-it notes shoved under my keyboard. Much less chance of an accident. *eyeroll*

You just need to get everyone security pens (http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/security/bf21/) for them to write down their passwords.

This one would be better. (http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/security/bf28/)

Well, not really - just cooler!

Kinda reminds me of those pens that show diff messages every time you click it. A great way to remember passwords, beware of people asking to use a pen.
