Sometimes it gets rough being a consultant.  I like that I'm independent of my clients, but there are weeks that just beat the crap out of you.

Two of our clients have changed out their entire inventory/tracking/billing systems in the last two weeks.  I spent most of this week in one client's office, spending my free time trying to field phone calls from the other.  I've worked an average of 10 hour days for the last two weeks, and today was looking good when I came in today.  Then we get calls from two other clients and their phone systems are down.  Guess what?  Our VOIP guy is out of town today, and I'm the only one here with any Linux skills, so I'm stuck trying not to break an asterisk box I've only worked on once before...  Ugh.

On the other hand, lunch wouldn't be this awesome anywhere else.

Beer and a burger for lunch? Count me in. Skinny Dip...local microbrew? I haven't seen it before, but then again, we miss a lot of stuff up here in Alaska.

going to go ahead and disagree with you there: I think Fat Tire is extremely over-rated. Bell's Amber beats it so bad it turns Fat Tire into a 2-dimensional plane.

New Belgium don't distribute in Alabama just now, so I can only take the word of people on Beeradvocate.com in their opinions of most of the NB beers. I made a point of seeking out the FT because so many people raved about it, only to say... "meh".

Bell's are out of Kalamazoo, MI, and are one of the highest rated breweries on Beeradvocate. And all their beers are *seriously* foine, foine, beers. And they will be in AL next month - w00t!
