I'm a little stupid about the phonetic alphabet...but.
Is it C as in cat, or C as in Sam?
I'm just curious if I've stumbled into an alternate universe, where the alphabet is warped.... because I just spent five minutes on the phone merely attempting to wrangle the PC name out of a user who was not very good with my phonetic spelling... even using comparison phrasing such as the above.
Also, in her world, "B as in boy" is the same as "V as in boy."
Some might argue a bad phone connection. However, her voice was crystal clear, and I know people would complain if they can't hear me. Hell, they can hear my officemates across the room (especially when they swear, but that's a whole other rant).
...my brain hurts.

S as in sea.
E as in eye.
X as in xylophone.
....that...was unintentional (reads down)....but I'm leaving that up. <3

Date: 2009-06-05 05:55 pm (UTC)This was one of the nicer users who called, but her issues with her PC name were so amusing, if frustrating to me, that I had to post it here. :) Needless to say, my brain is fried and is going back to lizard-mode.
