Dear psychoprof,

Do not be shocked that I do not answer your three e-mails sent during the weekend about whether or not I've ordered a new power brick for your PoS tablet PC (I repeat myself there, but that's beside the point). We do no ordering on the weekend, and it won't be shipped until Monday anyway.

Also, don't get snippy that I cannot "fix" the old one. It shorted and nearly caused a fire in your office. That smell of molten plastic that's still in your office should tell you it's beyond repair.

Having worked desktop support in corporate, research lab, and university/colleges, have to say that the most self-absorbed, self-centered, clueless a$$7oles are professors. And it doesn't seem to be restricted to any one discipline. Rather, there had to have been a requirement that every department have an overprivileged infant with a degree, demanding their way through life. Fucking with them by not going above and beyond, like I would for the cool profs. was always fun.

I dunno...I work in hospital IT (and also used to do tech support when I was in Uni.)...and I've had to deal with physicians who'd trump any professor I've ever had the misfortune to have known.

Like they say: "What's the difference between a doctor and God?"
