You're missing the point: it's quicker and easier to either 1. just type the proper URL in directly (how fucking hard is it to figure out that it's http://google.com?q=foo+bar anyway?) or 2. if you can't remember the proper form for a Google URL, go to Google.com, query it, then copy the query URL out of the address bar.

Nobody said anything about giving them the actual information.

Yes, I actually looked at the site, and it's completely fucking useless, which was the complaint.

I'd prefer a Google-alike clone that produced the same results you got from Google, but with the links cleverly all disguised to say something like "if you'd actually used Google, this would be the information you wanted" if it was just going to be a complete snark-fest.
