You know who I think the worst users probably are? The "crutch" users. The ones who are perfectly well able to figure out a simple process by themselves, but won't. Try. Even. A little bit. Before they call.

You can always tell who these users are because they pick something you've never used to ask you about, and then when you go to figure out how to work it, you're able to see it without even consulting the documentation.

For example, the lady I had today, who wanted to send a Google doc as an attachment.

I logs into Google docs, and whee, there's this big blue "Share" button.

Eh, it probably wouldn't be there. I'll just call tech support instead.

Lazy!

I get alot of that with our ticketing but unfortunately with callers you can't hide from their mind-sapping stupidity.

Ahh, the hand-holders!

I've got to admit, they should annoy the crap out of me but most of the time they make my job easier. The only ones I get ticked off with are the ones who want me to sit with them through a program's installation, thus throwing off my average call time by a good ten or so minutes. Do not want, as the saying goes!

Those are mildly annoying; the worst are the ones who are immediately hostile, don't believe anything I say, then want to talk to someone male else.
