Ok.
I do helpdesk at Haverford College where I'm a student.
Usually we just support the students on campus, but occasionally when the full time staff is too busy we have to take a few calls from faculty and administrative people.
So about a year and a half ago I was working helpdesk when I get a call from a faculty secretary.
Her computer went into a screensaver and it won't come out.
I ask her all the obvious stuff, then after a little while I ask her to do a soft reboot (it was a mac, so the good old ctrl-command-power combo should have rebooted the thing.
Nothing happens, the screen saver continues on it's merry little way.
so I decide that this one will take personal IRL attention, so I walk over to her office.
I get there, she repeats everything she told me on the phone of course, and then as I sit down to take a look at it she picks up this dangling cable and says "Here, let me get this out of your way."
It was the keyboard cable, hitting her in the leg the entire time she was on the phone with me.
