One of our science teachers sent a student to the office today asking for a "male to male USB cable", whilst brandishing a VGA cable. I went "eh???" and followed the student back to the classroom. The teacher (who I have the dubious honour of being a distant relation of) started talking to me about USB ports and said "of course, there's only one on this laptop". So I lifted the laptop up and pointed out the three other USB ports on the opposite side of the laptop...

Clearly she didn't inherit the family's technical genes :)

I have to admit that I made the same mistake wrt the USB ports. All my laptops had them on the left where the video connector was, so I was understandably upset when my new laptop only had 1... on the left. There were two more on the right that are somewhat hidden behind the DVD drive that I completely missed.

I ask this not to be a jerk, but out of genuine curiosity: is there a reason why your spelling is usually a shambles? Firefox automatically checks spelling as you type, and the random spacing and weird spelling makes your posts hard to read.

Combination of bad eyesight, nerve damage, and enough people aving been jerks about it that i refuse to use spellchecker etc partially bcause of everyone who has demanded it. It is a lot of hit and miss. f i can read it in a single pass, then I post it.

Basically, I spent several years as a teenager medicated against my will for misdiagnosed mental illness. Result? My fine motors are shot to hell msot of the time, and i have spasms on my rght arm a lot of the time.

itös okay, iam living with it. it dos not impact my life too much beyond increasing the times i have to do laundry, unbless I wear a napkin tucked into my collar, and my typing skillz -. i can walk, talk, dance, etc, it is jsut doing stuff with my hands that is impacted.
