F*ckrs are solely concerned about protecting their f*'ng IP. The bs you have to go through for the privilege of installing their product. The one for which you pay that annual support fee so you can use a "support" site that has no content. I love waiting for the support chat monkey to get around to me so s/he can send me a .pdf that I SHOULD HAVE EASY ACCESS TO! I only work for a reseller.

Hoist one for me.

Commiserating

Sorry no advice but I've dealt with Autocad licensing and feel your pain.

People wonder why I have such a pathological response to "activation" based DRM. Engineering programs are the answer.

This is the kind of shit where even if I'd purchased it, I would leech a torrent of the app with the copy protection stripped... just because it's otherwise IRRITATING.

I hate Autocad anyway. Yeech.

Ditto on that. I've done the same myself with disks that have broken or become to scratched to use.

Autocad, Bentley, they all suck. I've never seen such a clusterfuck as engineering software licensing.
