Ma'am, if I had phone numbers or tools to activate your account, I would have done it by now. Do you think I LIKE listening to you yell and scream at me? Do you think I enjoy listening to you threaten my family? Do you honestly think I want to sit here, listening to you yell and scream about how I'm lying and need to contact someone right away?

Do you understand how stupid you sound yelling at me that our systems are wrong? And did I forget to mention that I am TECHNICAL SUPPORT and not CUSTOMER SERVICE. Our systems may be wrong, but you're still disconnected! And there's nothing I can do about it!

Believe me, lady, I would do anything to get you off my phone. Oh, you're threatening my life? And I've already requested various times you stop yelling! Okay, have a nice day!

I, OTOH, DID enjoy listening to them threaten me/my family, and yell and scream and etc., because then I'd simply be able to refuse their request. :)

Rofl. I enjoyed it for 5 minutes, and then it just got excessive. There's only so much of "YOU'RE LYING FIX THIS FIX THIS FIX THIS YOU'RE LYING" before it gets boring.

Probably another good reason I don't do phones. I'd respond to that threat. My wedding last year had 175 people show up (we invited 180.. 2 died between the invitations and the wedding. So a total of 3 non-death related "no"s. One of whom sadly enough would have survived if she had gone to my wedding, she had an alergic reaction at home to peanuts.). It's a close family. A threat on me or my family is something I won't tolerate.

Sweet. I'd do it if someone said that to me. Off-handed hissy-fit death threats are something that people do because they don't understand the consequences, or have never suffered consequences for it. I'm perfectly happy to hit them with the consequences.

Agreed. There was a guy, at verizon, who had a customer threaten to blow up the call center. He is now on the terrorist watch list, and gets questioned every time something is attacked. Our call center was inside one of Verizon's biggest data centers, where they co-located some gov't stuff.

Don't eff with tech support. ;)
