...but you would've broken that too.

E&S Computers is a local guy that does awesome fucking service down the street. He works with his old dad, and turned his house into his storefront, as he has two houses now, possibly more. (He's just that good.) He ends up fixing up all the other mishaps from the 2-3 other shops locally, and has cheap pricing.

Cruising CL today and almost puked in agony over this lu$er.

"E & S Computer consultants is a scam (46383)

I took my laptop there and they told me I needed an ethernet card. I told them I have the INTERnet not the ETHERnet. Now my verizon doesn't work at all. They also attached windows xp to it. I took my computer apart and cannot find where they put windows xp. I see no windows xp in there. Did they scam me or what. Now I have a ethernet card and not an internet card. How much is ethernet service and does it have websites the same?"

oh my...

part of me wants to flag it Best of Craigslist, but most of me is afraid they'd really badly MISunderstand the intentions.

Craigslist should have a Hall of Shame, but sometimes it IS one.

~sighs~

This is one of the times when the whole WTF/FTW dichotomy is particularly applicable.

Part of me is wanting to think this was for some reason an *intentional* attempt to mar E&S's reputation, while other parts of me are screaming 'But--there are people who are just *that* stupid!'. Either way, it looks like the craigslist entry is already flagged for deletion.

That's friggin' hilarious. I don't think it would have done any harm leaving it up, since the degree of moronity is patently obvious.

I was wheezing & wanting to slam my head into a brick wall at the same time. And that's rare.

Geezus.

I think that ad is a good endorsement for E&S. It says "We have the patience of god".

Yeah, actually. "We'll try to do the right thing for you, even if you're too stupid to know what that is."

Somehow the line from Forest Gump seems to apply - "Stupid is as stupid does". Some folks should never be trusted with technology without a keeper.

Mr. Miyagi says "No bad student, only bad teacher"

Why flog poor entry when author is truly deserving?

Wow, that actually physically makes my brain hurt reading it.

Luckily, many and probably most of the people reading the "review" have a f*cking clue and will see this for what it is - especially the part about "opened up the computer and couldn't find windows xp," oh my God.
