That'd be easier than giving them pills.

Cat butt video would be freakyweird, though.

Also? I love the cat's expression in the last panel.

Kitten pics (http://www.mattcaron.net/photos/foster_kittens-hope_may_2008/). Mostly fosters, but we are keeping 3 of them.

O.O Too adorable!!! Foster kittehs?! Does that mean you're looking for homes? What state are you in?!

Date: 2008-07-10 05:29 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mattcaron.livejournal.com
Yes, we are looking for homes, but the adoption policies of the agency (for which we will no longer be fostering as we do not like said policy) is that the kittens must be indoor only.

I am in NY, in the vicinity of 12074. There will be an adoption clinic at Wilton mall on July 20.

indoor kitties have a longer lifespan, fewer illnesses, and are generally happier without that whole Big Blue Room experience. If provided with company and a proper scratching post, they will be happy and leave the furniture alone. (We had 3 house cats till recently when one of them died due to cancer. We had had him for 9 years. My cat (see pic) is 16 years old, and even the vets are astonished because he looks like a much younger cat)

Agreed.

Depends on the cat. We have several which are miserable if not let outside. They want to hunt and eat fresh meat. Keeping such cats inside is cruel.

as usual.. YMMV ;). Our kitties have always been indoors kitties, so they don't miss what they have never had.

I used to work at a PC repair shop/florist. (I didn't understand either.) The floral people would tell us we had it easy, because we never had to worry about parts wilting or or having to work 72 hours straight for Homecoming and Valentines Day. To which I replied,

"How often do you get a call from your customers complaining your flowers won't fit their vase and can they bring it back? Do you ever spend an hour on the phone walking a 'certified florist' through making a topiary?! 'My marigold won't bloom, and I repot it once a week religiously to make sure there are no fragmented roots.'"
