Date: 2008-07-08 07:43 pm (UTC)THQ makes some of the worst video game in history (I've never bought any of their games personally, but their stuff does get managed to be given to me by well meaning relatives).
Apparently, according to www.valusoft.com, they're THQ's PC software arm. I've seen some of their stuff randomly in Best Buy, Office Max, Office Depot, etc...
Their $20 Office Suite set is nothing more than OpenOffice.org on a CD. Does anyone ever buy this kind of stuff?

My company distributed some of our software through them. It was a nightmare.

Date: 2008-07-08 07:44 pm (UTC)Basically, they make agreements with shareware vendors to sell their apps, and generally they do stupid things like shove a 10mb application on a full CD-ROM. Wasteful, but idiots still buy the junk.
