Time to snap.

No, I will not assist you in the illegal download of a full-length movie.

In fact, no, your cell is probably not possessed of enough resources to HANDLE such a download and viewing.

Yes, I will be flagging your account so that NO ONE helps you with video downloads. EVER. Especially since this time you were green enough to ADMIT what you wanted to DL, but you may catch on for next time.

Yes, I think you're a complete moron, especially being that you're on Pay & Talk and, even if such a task were legal and possible, it'd run you out of funds in an eyeblink.

And yes, I *do* think you're full of sheep doo when you tell me that it was advertised on my company's website. (That said, readers, if you can find it, send me das URL please! I haven't found it yet, on the self-serve website OR the main company one). I think you might need to have your comp checked for adware.

I doubt you know what that is.

I'm just going to walk away shaking my head now.

Dumbass.

I'm just amazed someone that stupid didn't also ask for your supervisor. In my experience, they tend to.

One thing I don't miss about tier 1 was the constant calls from customers demanding we show them how to get through the encryption on DVDs, so they could copy them. Our supervisors gave up on the whole not being snarky thing with them.

I've worked for a couple cellphone providers, though thankfully no longer.
One had an incident in which a teenager hooked his cellphone to his computer, and downloaded the entire Lord of the Rings in high definition. His parents didn't have a data plan, so it was a penny per kilobyte.

What I really hated when working for Nokia was when those fucktards would call /us/ about their really high phone bill.

Because it's obviously our fault for making modem software.

Ahahaha, no.

What was worse, though, was the people on pre-pay who didn't even know who their network provider was. "Who do you pay your bills to?" "I don't get bills." "Who do you give money to?" "Oh, the local shop, I've got this card I hand over." (All the top-up cards look the same, as it's a separate company that runs a nation-wide scheme.)

You'd end up having to tell them to open up their phone and look at what was printed on their SIM card. Then they'd start shouting at you because you don't have the phone number for whatever random MVNO they bought their phone from.

I so don't miss that.

Heh. What's funny is the payment and billing departments for pretty much all prepaid cellphone carriers are handled by the same outsourcer, in the same call center.

In the one outsourced call centre I worked in we had tech support for the three biggest mobile phone manufacturers.

It was so hilarious when people said, in an outraged tone of voice, 'I'm going to Motorola!' - the people there were the same lot of no-hopers that worked at Nokia. :o)

The funny bit about the prepaid is that someone will try to commit check fraud with one prepaid cellphone company, and suddenly find themselves black listed from all the prepaid cell companies. Of course, they tend to be quite confused as to why prepair Verizon insists they pay their debt to prepaid Cingular with a real check, prior to obtaining more Verizon minutes.
