In what corner of the realm is it considered a good idea to hang drycleaning from exposed ethernet wiring?

The same realm that it is considered a good idea to hang drycleaning from exposed electrical or any other kind of wiring.

The sort of realm where they will always have problems but never get the Squirrlley Wrath they so desperately deserve?

What exactly do you mean by "exposed"?

Like, the copper is exposed? Otherwise, sure, why not?

Yeah, well, we have an RJ45 jack on the ceiling in the lab where I work, and yes we have a looong cable connected to it, held up to the ceiling with tape and paper clips and things like that.

If anyone hung anything from it, it would fall :(

Cables and wiring shouldn't be supported by the ceiling tiles or grid anyway. Laying cables on top of the tiles is a violation of the fire code. They should be supported with J-hooks or cable tray rated for plenum areas.

In the realm where said wiring and its cargo is about to drip some flammable liquid for about half an hour and then 'accidentally' catch fire three minutes after the regulations concerning who is allowed to do what with electrical wiring have been reviewed by the manager responsible for the next round of layoffs?
