Die In A Fire
Jul. 30th, 2007 09:09 pmI waited until after the call before I told the brain-doner to die in a fire today, although it was a close thing.
So your laptop can't connect to your wireless LAN? That's nice. WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING TO A MOBILE PHONE MANUFACTURER?!
Die. Die. Die.
Same prick then got even more huffy when I couldn't help transfer data directly from his old phone, made by a competitor. Shockingly, our software only works with our phones...
Somewhere, there's a fire with that guy's name on it.

Date: 2007-07-30 08:53 pm (UTC)Samsung have a 'happy call survey' and little signs on the desks saying 'it is never appropriate to hang up on a customer'. Actually, I think it's /frequently/ appropriate to hang up on customers. I'm not their punching bag, and I'll be damned if I apply for a job with 'happy' in the title. Their idea of 'general support' is to ask which device the caller has and pass them to the appropriate 'tech' team. I listened in with the AV (TV/DVD/camcorder) teach team. Telling people how to plug cables into their TV is not tech, and I knew more about AV cabling than the 'tech' agent I listened in to.
So I'm looking for a job outside the company. Should reduce my commute, too.

Date: 2007-07-31 01:47 am (UTC)General cell phone tech support was a joke - turn it on, off, read the manual. I did the data phone support - slightly (I stress slightly) more challenging.
