it was considered a rite of passage at my old job to have someone flush while on the phone with you.

I can not stand when people do that. It annoys me to the point I will ask them to stop.
I also get those lovely people that belch and keep on talking like nothing happened.

Always wondered why people do this. The end users, not much I can do about that. The onsite service techs, who are calling from an END USER'S HOME .. those I really don't get.

Especially the ones who combine it with heavy mouth breathing. :&
