OH MY GOD!!!  How difficult is the following direction: "Wait 10 seconds and then turn the computer back on." There's no need for discussion, no need to keep asking, "Should I turn it back on now?" It's a very simple concept: count to 10, then turn the computer back on.

If you cannot follow simple directions, DON'T CALL ME!

One way that I know I've been doing tech support way too long: I don't even fake laugh anymore. I simply ignore the joke and continue with the call. Same thing when someone tries to make small talk. I ignore it and carry on.
