Hi, I was poking around reddit when I stumbled upon this community. It's nice to know that tech people can suffer together. haha!

I guess I should introduce myself. I work for a large internet company where I build websites. Fun stuff! XP Also into tons of nerdy stuff!

I already read through some of the posts that have been made. They are great and made a few pop to my mind! Will most likely be sharing them soon!

I feel sorry for you. My family has been complaining about the heat and the fact that they can't keep the pads on the swamp cooler wet enough.

The one thing I DON'T miss about Phoenix is having JUST a swamp cooler and no A/C.


P.S. I'd be willing to bet that under that perky exterior beats a cynical heart.

I'm going to be 6am-2:30pm Sun-Thurs. I am a 5'6" tall, very wide geek girl in unrelieved black, wearing a skirt, and possibly with a much thinner somewhat shorter redhead in tow. (Or I may be the one in tow.)

I swear, if I weren't so opposed to smoking on principle, and work weren't such death on it, this job would drive me to smoke. Would you believe that this one old lady decided that she was going to cancel the service because the shopping cart page wouldn't resize itself to fit large window sizes with no wasted space? WTF.
