...I'd dearly love to bitchslap our QA director.

QA director: "This information needs to go to $new_contact."

Me: "Do you have an email address for her? I'm assuming that's somebody at Cigna. The only one I have is for $old_contact."

QA director: "I've attached 2 emails from March where I told you that $new_contact took over the case. $new_contact is also handling our Cigna web access. If you haven't logged in there yet, please do so so they don't disable you."

Me, mentally (because I like having a job): "I didn't ask you about any goddamn emails from March, I asked you for a goddamn email address. And I don't give a shit about login access for Cigna or whether I'm disabled. You wanted it so you could review their error reports online - that's your job, not mine, and I don't know why the fuck you told them to give me access in the first goddamn place."

And then I open up one of her "2 emails from march where she told me that $new_contact took over the case."

Direct quote:

"I'm not sure if this gal is temporarily or permanently taking over for $old_contact since I got this CIGNA Error report from her out of the blue, but I thought I'd pass on the contact anyway."

The contact info in question does not contain an email address.

Another direct quote from the same email:

"I had her add you to the $client error report. Just delete for now but this way, should the hit by a bus scenario ever occur, someone else from $our_company will get these glorious emails."

If you get hit by a fucking bus, I'm applauding, not doing your job for you. I'm not even in your goddamn department.
