My last 3 calls were Vista Related.

They're were all messed up.

My first call was about IE7, and not opening up. It was corrupted on a brand new computer. Awesome.

Second call was setting up "Windows Mail" (total ripoff) which would not complete due to some .vxv error.

Finally, the gem of my night was explaining how to restart a computer in Vista. That took 30 minutes. Oy Vey...

I just got a new laptop with Shitsta, and the windows explorer has crashed about 10 times...all I was trying to do was tweak some settings in the control panel and set up my wireless connection.

Thank god my Ubuntu Feisty is nearly done downloading.

You have to wonder... was the push on Genuine Windows Athenticity grown in a vacuum or pushed out ahead of an OS that they knew people would not stump up the cash for unless forced?

So far the only real use I've seen for Vista is to run the soon to be released M$ game (Halo 2, 3?) that they coded to REQUIRE their newest operating system. Not being a real gamer, I can pass on that.

Now now, the last one is something that everyone has issues with whenever we get a dramatically different OS on the market.

I'm sure we all remember the jokes about "Clicking Start to Turn Off the computer". ;-P

As for the rest, Vista is the new ME, only worse.

For dumb users as such in #3 I switch the computer to classic mode. Makes it look more like XP.

I just got a new computer on March 30 with Vista.

IE will not open - it keeps crashing.

Not that I use it, but I would think it should at least work.

...And this is why I won't even *think* of running vista until the first service pack.

Dog help me at work, because we are likely going to migrate to it sometime next year...
