During a shoot-the-bull session in the IT department here with the Mac, PC, and Linux techs, the following (admittedly sexist) observations were made:

Mac OS X is like a porn star, sexy, sassy, and willing to show off, and usually a lot more interesting than they originally appear to be.

Vista is like a she-male porn star, sexy, sassy, willing to show off, but not quite what it appears to be and with a few surprises.

And Linux is that geeky, nerdy smart girl or guy that turns out to be a complete wear-you-out freak in the bedroom.

When I posted these observations on my LJ, the following additions were made:

Win9x is an oldster fetish porn star that has few skills and has to take frequent naps. (aeddie)

MAC Classic OS (6.X-7.X) is the sexy B&W era porn star.

BeOS is the sexy, edgy, 'alternative' (Betty Page-esqe) porn star who died tragically.

DOS is the "past prime" porn star who remains viable by doing DVDA.
