Seriously. Last week we sent out over 32,000 update disks to our clients (I work for the government indirectly) and on the CD we printed a phone number for everyone to call in case they had issues installing this update (it's SP2 fer cripe's sake but that is another story). Guess what the number was that was printed on the CD? 1-800-877-7425... sounds innocent enough, but it is one number off from our number and guess where it goes... well, dial it. LOL If I have one more client mention the "porn line" I am going to destroy them with my very thoughts. On the same note, if you maximize the installation while it is minimized, all it says is "Magical Mystery Tour" in a CMD box... ya, I am just wondering what dude was doing the night dude was making said CD to send out... a bit of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and a bit of porn on the brain?

I yoosta work for a big commercial printer, and one day I saw that one of the customer reps was doing a run of one and a half million labels, that fit over the phone number on a Citibank pamphlet. Yup, you guessed it, Citibank had given us the wrong number and *signed off on at least five proofs,* and that number was of course a Hott Sexxxy Tripple-X Chatt Sexx Linne.

Actually I think if you alter *any* one digit on *any* legitimate 800 number, you get a sex chat line. And strangely, I'm not joking all that much either.

Been there - they sent out advertising for our Golf that was "one-off" right into a phone chat room.

My FAVORITE though was the brochures that went out that didn't have our Spa number but they put MY OFFICE CELL PHONE on them!

I still get those calls...

our old tech line is now a porn line as well...and unfortunately there are a lot of customers out there that still use the very very old obsolete software (because they refuse to get rid of it) and it still has that old number listed.

I have gotten a bunch of angry customer start the call out with "You guys trying to get me fired?!?!?!"

Yes sir, that is my only goal in life...so you will stop calling me.
