Region settings for DVD drive

Happy Christmas to all.. problem...''you can change the region a limited no. of times.After changes remaining reaches zero, you cannot change even if you reinstall windows or move your DVD drive to a different computer..''... any solutions would be greatly appreciated but unexpected..

Well, it WAS a happy holiday until someone didn't read the community information OR the instructions for the DVD player before submitting a question to a group of people who get PAID to deal with stupid questions and who refuse to answer any more of them for free.

Your DVD player has a limited number of times that you can switch the region before it's permanently fixed on one. You're trying to bypass this designed limitation. Go ask your ridiculous question of someone who cares or pay us to solve it. Either way, shut up.

Take the drive out of the machine.
Strip the ends of a lamp cord.
Plug the cord in.
*carefully* touch the exposed ends to the IDE connection on the drive. It may spark, but a few sparks are ok.
Smoke means it's working.

When you're done with that, put one of the exposed ends in your ass and suck on the other.

Why it happens? Cause all the movie distributors and crap *LOVE* to charge twice as much in some countries as they do in others, and love to try stopping you from buying stuff from the cheaper companies by fucking up your pc.

There's a kinetic reset to most DVD drives region settings.

1. Pull drive from machine.

2. Place on a hard surface.

3. Obtain a mass spheroid ('prox 7.3kg)

4. Position kinetic mass tool 1.2m above drive and release.

If this doesn't work, test the mass tool by letting it act on your fingers or face. If you don't feel anything there, your tool may be defective.
