okay, i dont know who to contact about this, i already tried the support area but i've gotten no help...i need immediate help! theres a journal that was previously set up as a private journal and i have now turned it into a community..every time a memeber tries to post the entry wont show up. if you log in as the community you can see the entry as a private one...you can only see it if the member who posted it goes into the entry again and edits it, then it'll show. i already fixed the settings with the community in the manage community page and the problem remains. i dont understand because a community can't have private entries yet they keep showing up. please help.the community is "bbnml"

This is really a community for tech support people to whine and gripe about their jobs and customers, so if anyone chews you out: now you know.

Log in to the community. Go to the admin console (http://www.livejournal.com/admin/console) and execute this command: "set for bbnml newpost_minsecurity public" (without the quotes).

indeed ... we are completely and totally unaffiliated with the LJ support staff. This is a community for tech reps working for every other company but this one :P

Although.. if you've ever looked at <a href="http://livejournal.com/support/help.bml>some of the support requests</a> that LJ Support gets.. it's amazing that they're not in here! For every 1 call that we all get that is solved by a simple reboot, they get 10 that are looking for invite codes. Look, people, the phone system puts you on hold purposely so it can play the recording back of 'while you're waiting, reboot your computer.' There's info on the main page of LJ about how to get an account. Stop bothering both of us! :)
