i'm the one who wrote about the windows xp and redhat problem here and i tried to do all the things you guys said, and put in the win xp cd and it ran thru the repair and when it had to restart, it hit me with the "to boot from cd press any key" or the grub thing again...not sure what i should do now

ok if it is still trying to load grub the first questions i have is are you running the two OS's on seperate drives, and wich one is wich. and where is bios trying to boot. if you repair drive b as the win boot drive but bios is still pointing to the old RH mbr on drive A you will likley see no change. alternately try again do the fixmbr and fix boot in that order from the repair console. and for more drastic measures see if you can do an fdisk from the command console to remove all remaing linux partitions.

try useing bios and having it point tot he speciufc drive, or just remove the drive with the redhat install info on it. then when you to the fix mbr/fixboot it will make sure you have a drive that runs.
