The thought has crossed my mind.

Then, I'm also the person who takes little shit and gets crap done, regardless of if he has to step on someone to get it done.... although I've gotten better at that lately.

Yeah, and I'm the one who shows up most reliably, is the most "social" of the team, and I'm reasonably competant.

This is why deliberately put up with less crap the higher I rise in the competence-hierarchy of whatever team I'm in. I don't like my supervisors getting too comfortable around me, if they're idiots.
