Nov. 27th, 2006 10:16 pmHmmmmm.... to ban, or not to ban, that is the question.
I will admit that I've been wanting to see just what the friendly looking blue button on my 'BanHammer 40K' does, but she just keep letting the train run her over, and over, and over...
But then, I could just revoke posting privileges. that might do it. And it would be so easy. just two little clicks of the mouse....
NAH. She's too funny. I'll let it go for another day, then I'll do something unless someone else beats me to it.
EDIT::::
The members have spoken. ::presses the little blue button::

Date: 2006-11-28 06:47 am (UTC)"The fish in a barrel analogy fails here.
You see, shooting fish in a barrel is easy, but they can still swim a little, and it's playful. Eventually, you win, but you can intentionally let the fish think it's got a chance.
This is more akin to firing 120mm beehive canister at a dead whale in a drained drydock. Not that that isn't fun now and again, but it gets very old very fast, since the target doesn't merely have no way to escape, but isn't very mobile to begin with and will expire VERY messily under it's own natural efforts without you ever having to do a damn thing. (Want proof? Look up the video of the dead whale exploding in the street as it was being transported somewhere.)"
Quoting myself.
It's true, however. Just think - what would have happened if no one replied to her? She would have come back with a scathing reply about how utterly unhelpful we were that we just totally ignored her, and basically, without any help or prodding from us, she would have exploded into a fireball of brilliant intensity, meritous of a spot amongst the greatest "brilliant thinkers" on LJ, and would have been promptly banned and that would have been that.
*shakes head* Drop ye the hammer, and let her find out that one can only play at being superior on LJ with a 'voice'.

Date: 2006-11-28 06:11 am (UTC)You win:
"Nice one, champ. After you tipped over his wheelchair and he started crying and smacking himself in the ear, the match was yours."
You lose:
"Dude, that thalidomide kid with the flipper arms totally lost control of his bladder while he was swinging, but he still beat you."

Date: 2006-11-28 07:28 am (UTC)Banning her is the equivalent of hanging up on her.
But the way LJ banning works - she can still read the public posts - even the threads - she just can't post or reply in the comments.
It would probably drive her little rat brain nuts knowing that we can talk about her and continue to point and laugh but that she can't do anyhing as time and bandwidth wasting as replying with her incessant "nuh uh! I M 2 SMRT! I meant to do that!! I R laughing at youz because I am a successful troll!" comments.
