No, I don't care what you want to believe. IE5 for Mac was barely decent when it was released. It's hardly "an industry-standard browser" three years after development on it stopped and a year after Microsoft itself stopped supporting it. If you're going to be a tool, don't be an idiot too. (And by the way, being as rude as you've been to the people you want to help you probably isn't a good idea, dude.)

I had a Windows user come in and mention IE today, and I just winced. Even for Windows the thing is full of holes and a generally bad idea. For Mac? Holy shit no, Batman! Don't touch it! We've pretty much given our users no choice but to stop using IE for Mac, and we strongly recommend that our Windows users switch to Firefox too.

Ew, now I feel dirty.

You're lucky - I'm afraid to do ANYTHING like Firefow. My users are far too...

I lack words. I had to explain what the "print area" in Excel was for the other day.

At least the people still running OS 9 have somewhat of an excuse. The ones who are running IE on OSX, though...come on, people--Safari's already pre-loaded!

Safari is only pre-installed with OS 10.3 and above. !0.2 still shipped with IE. Even then, get Firefox, or Camino. Seriously, people, there is no exuse for IE on a Mac.

Ah, IE5 for Mac, the only Mac browser which will successfully browse to one particular ADSL modem (which I used to support).
