My mother does not know anything about computers - she can use MS Office and order things on Amazon, but the details escape her. This all works out just fine because when she encounters something unfamiliar, she actually uses her brain. Today she emailed me: O computer guru: my prompt says "a new version of Java is ready to be installed!". Should I?

If I could train half my family and friends to do this rather than blindly clicking "OK", I'd die a happy woman.

I get the same thing from my folks from time to time. I love it when they do that.

By all means, Mom, click away like a OCD monkey on Jolt-flavored pixie sticks!

Your mother sounds like a sensible computer user: she's aware of her limitations, and not ashamed to ask when she's not 100% certain about things. This is A Very Good Thing Indeed.

Is it possible to get her cloned?
