techrecovery | Ahhh the bliss of the ignorant

I suppose I should have mentioned before now what I do as I haven’t posted for a long time but I still read the forum for a regular cringe.

I work for a government department in Australia doing Computer Support, (computer support, read: PC’s, Network, a little bit of server stuff, PDA’s and ANYTHING else that get plugged into the wall).

OK So here’s todays little pearl:

I had a verbal request to find out how to check the ink levels on a specific model printer from a user.

Here’s my Reply:

Hi Xxxxxxx
I got the information from the HP website to check ink levels because I don’t have a HP – Xyz printer or manuals here onsite.
Therefore I can not test the instruction, let me know if it works for you or not.
Ta

By accident I worked out where it was, I thought I had to go to the HP website 
