Why, oh why did they invent the OLK super duper hidden directory? All day long, I remote in and save people's asses who are too stupid to save an attachment and then put in three days work before 'losing' the file (why did you delete my presentation?!!!). Gah! Ok, fine, it is user stupidity but you program stuff to work with people. You don't create a directory that 'show hidden directories' doesn't show. Why? Why, why why?

I always used ELM in college. Confused the crap out of the POP-trapped freshmen. "How can you get your email on that computer, and then get the SAME EMAILS on THAT OTHER computer?"

No idea on the new versions...

From what I've learned with supporting Outlook, the PST files will ALWAYS be in c:\documents and settings\user\Local settings\Application data\Microsoft\Outlook\

That is, if you are using 2K or XP. Fuck all if I remember where 9x kernal machiens park it. {Probably in c:\windir\local settings\etc...)

And the ball game changes entirely if you are using exchange, because then it's an OST file instead of a PST file, or some batshit crap like that.

And I think the reason they hid the local settings directory is to keep the clueless from fucking up their profile settings. Like the OS or some ill-behaved app won't do that by itself already...
