Xerox called this morning to have me do a phone survey about the service we've been receiving from one of their authorized vendors. The vendor is excellent, so of course, I gave the highest marks to all questions. At the end, she asked, "What can we do next time to provide even more satisfaction?"

My answer? "Bring beer."

She lost it laughing despite her best attempt to remain professional. >:)

At my current place, that might actually happen. (This place has several full service bars in it.) I'm pretty sure that on the job boozing is verboten, though.

We had in-house Xerox vendor reps permanently stationed on the periphery of the helpdesk proper (they had their own desk, but I could hit them with a balled-up sheet of paper if I wanted to). The attitude was great, the response times were good - it was just a pity that we had ordered a couple million dollars of their crappiest products without doing any suitability testing.
