Looks like it's time for a change.
Aug. 25th, 2006 12:39 pmI was laid off today.
Perhaps it's time to steer away from help desk-related positions, but I can't afford that limitation right now. If anyone knows of any openings in the Dallas TX area, throw em at me. Not choosy at the moment, other than the fact that I need at least $40k/yr.
Apologies for being off-topic.

Date: 2006-08-26 12:11 am (UTC)And you have my condolences. One can only hope you are getting unemployment while you are looking. (I did not, and I'm still salty about that.)

Date: 2006-08-26 04:55 am (UTC)Now, the last time I got fired, they paid up because the employer apparently didnt' document the reasons why well enough.
This time around, I didn't get jack squat because it was apaprently my fault that my lusers were such dickheads to push the hot button of "we are going to submit replacement computer requests twice daily until we get something", even theough my boss stated to the company at large that we'd be dictating when stuff was going to be replaced. Voices were raised, and apparently that was agressive enough that I got canned.
This place is a helluva lot easier on my nerves. No. One. Yells. At. Me. ::giggles liek a schoolgirl:: The department directors actually mingle and chat and party with the minons on a routine basis.
Just that fact causes my paranoia streak to get up and go willd, but I'm learning to bludgeon it with various and sundry LARTS. :)
