One for the yikes file!
Jul. 21st, 2006 03:16 pmI think the best part about this email is that it isn't even our software that's doing it - she doesn't even own our software. It just keeps getting better and better as you read on. Oh man... this has made my day. I had a guy earlier use "niner" with me on the phone, but this is way better.
dear sir/madame:
Every day for about 8 days now, i sign on to my machine and what should pop up? a block for some place called "releventknowledge.com. my firewall on my computer will not allow this program to come up on my machine. since it is not from anyone i know or subscribe to, my son and i (my son is an expert computer genius)feel it is a hacker trying to get control of our information. beleive me, we dont have money, we dont have nice cars. we are both disabled(my husband and i) we are broke.
could you PLEASE stop sending these programs to us. i am tired of having this pop-up shut down my machine. this program comes up as soon as the screen shows the desk top. it doesnt have a name as the name part is now being x'ed out so we do not know who it is from now. last week, the name would come up also.
Anyway, can you stop this please. it makes me uncomfortable and you are starting to ruin my computor! so, please aknowledge this letter and STOP WITH THE POP-UPS THAT MAKE ME HAVE TO RE-START MY WHOLE MACHINE. PLEASE TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST FOR-E-VER!
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR FIXING THIS SITUATION.
Sincerely,
kelly
ps: do not pop up on my machine again, thank you! have a nice day!

Date: 2006-07-21 07:54 pm (UTC)So she doesn't even know who is making this pop up. Is she just randomly emailing people and asking them to stop, or what?

Date: 2006-07-21 09:39 pm (UTC)For reference, "niner" is the correct method of saying the number 9 when using the NATO phonetic alphabet (it helps differentiate it from the number 5, for example, on a bad line).
