User ticket: The printers in building XXXX, IP addresses x.x.x.78 and x.x.x.225 are once again unreachable.

My response: The usual problem has returned, and I've applied the usual fix (we've been wresting this one with our network vendor for six months now...). x.x.x.225 is now reachable.

x.x.x.78 will be reachable as soon as somebody TURNS IT ON. It would actually be easier to caope with this problem if you didn't turn the printers off at night -- they have "power saving" modes for a reason.

My solution: big stickers.

"This printer has a power save mode, DO NOT TURN OFF!"

It worked in high-school.

Woah, people actually read stickers? Did you have to place them over the power buttons first?
