Yesterday I had a (dial up) customer call me and ask why we had "cancelled his account". I asked him for his username and he gave me his password. Eventually I was able to find his account. It had not been cancelled and when I informed him that his account was active and up to date he said...
"But my computer keeps telling me that 'a network cable is unplugged'!"
A lengthy explanation of the difference between dialing up to the internet and plugging his computer into a network followed and it was all good, I thought.
Until he rang back an hour later with the same "problem".
